Why float? The float experience provides a complete sensory deprivation experience. During the float, your muscles and joints will have full opportunity to relax, because of the suspension in the water. The temperature of the water is set to skin temperature so that you can fully experience neutral, its a very anti gravity experience. And finally, without the distractions, you can float into a state of meditation, sleep, or just enjoy the full relaxation. The Epsom Salt is magnesium sulfate, and magnesium helps to increase serotonin and melatonin levels, and it also helps to reduce inflammation. So you will not only feel relaxed, but you will feel happier, and it will contribute to a more restful sleep.

What do I bring to my appointment? We recommend you float naked! We have everything you will need for your float appointment. You will shower before and after your float and we have robes, towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner. The one thing we recommend you bring is your own flip flops. You can also bring a shower cap if you don't want to wet your hair and we also have swimming caps for sale at the spa. Of course, if you are floating with another person and you would rather wear a bathing suit, you are more than welcome to bring a bathing suit.

What do I need to do to prepare for my float? There are two important things to do (or NOT do) before your float: 1. DO NOT color your hair at least 2 weeks before your float. The espom salts are very expensive and we charge a cleaning and refill fee if hair dye tints the water. We do not want to charge you and we just ask you not to come within 2 weeks of coloring your hair. 2. DO NOT shave any part of your body at least 24 hrs (to be safer we recommend 36 hours) prior to floating. The salts will burn any open pore (or cut) in your skin. We do have liquid bandage for any small cuts.

How many float room (pods) does the spa have?We only have one float room. Our float "suite" can accomodate up to 2 people and so we do offer float appointments for up to 2 people.

Can children float? The float room is filled with thousand pounds of epsom salts. So this makes the water very irritating to eyes, nose, and mouth. So even though it is very safe for a child to float, the child will need to be still and not play in the water. This ability varies from child to child. Also, a child under the age of 14 will need to have an adult float with them.
